Find the source and stop further damage
Water often travels away from the original fault, so the visible damp patch may not show where the leak began. We inspect accessible pipework, fittings, appliances and nearby rooms to identify the likely source before recommending a repair.
Where a full repair cannot be completed immediately, we can discuss safe isolation or make-safe options to reduce further damage.
Trace the likely source using visible signs and practical testing.
Isolate the affected supply where necessary and practical.
Explain the repair and price before replacing faulty components.
What to do during a water leak
Turn off your internal stopcock if you can do so safely. If water is near lights, sockets or the consumer unit, keep away and obtain appropriate electrical advice. Move possessions clear of the affected area and call with your postcode. Photos can help us assess urgency.
Can you help with hidden leaks?
We can investigate accessible areas and advise when specialist non-invasive leak detection or building work may be needed.
Will you provide an insurance invoice?
We can document the fault and repair on the invoice. Insurance acceptance is determined by your insurer.
